Security Analyst, Paul Boateng in a phone session on ‘Maakye’ show aired on Onua TV hosted by renowned broadcast journalist, Captain Smart has said that the rise in crime in Ghana should be looked at in two dimensions.
According to him security specialist must examine whether crime is on the rise because most Ghanaian youths are hungry as a result of unemployment or some foreigners are behind it.
He says as a result of so many good things entering Ghana because of its peaceful nature, some saboteurs can deliberately attack people in the country just to humiliate it and make it seem violent.
Mr. Boateng stressed that its time the root of the crime gets checked to the real cause or people behind it can be brought to book.
He also mentioned that most of the youths today have resorted to robbery because of the issue of unemployment.
