The Minister of Finance Ken Ofori-Atta has asked Ghanaian youth to adopt the culture of creating their own job opportunities instead of depending on government jobs.
He noted that the government payroll is full and for that matter the youth must create their own jobs because government has created the environment for that.
He made this comment while speaking to some graduating students of University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).
”Most people look for a job from government or state institutions, but that payroll is full. I can tell that because we are spending about 60% of our revenue on remunerating some 650,000 people, and that is not sustainable”, he said.
He went on to advise the graduating student to make use of the knowledge they have acquired because there is the need to impact society.
