The Ministry of Finance has debunked rumours ongoing on social media that Ghana’s finance minister Ken Ofori-Attah has resigned from his post.
The Ministry in a statement noted that the Finance Minister has not resigned as he is focused on his mandate given him by His Excellency the President to serve Ghanaians.
“The Ministry wishes to assure the general public that there is no truth in these rumours. Mr Ken Ofori-Atta is at post and focused on his mandate, given to him by His Excellency the President, to serve the people of Ghana in his capacity as Finance Minister.
The Ministry asked the general public to disregard the rumour as there is no truth in it.
The Ministry released the Press statement on Tuesday, 5th October 2021.
