Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, has stated that Nigeria is in need of a savior rather than a leader as the country prepares for the general election that will take place in 2023. These statements were made as the country was getting ready for the election.
These remarks were given by him on the 8th of December as a part of a much larger Shiloh program. The occurrence occurred during the course of a church service that was being held at the congregation’s headquarters in Ota, which is located in the state of Ogun.
The theologian said that he had warned the people of Nigeria in 2015 about the worsening state of the security and economic crises in Nigeria, while at the same time lamenting the worsening state of both of these crises. He claimed that he had forewarned the people of Nigeria about the worsening state of security and economic crises in Nigeria.
In his word “I believe the Holy Spirit is nudging me to say that we should pray for our country. When I warned Americans in 2015 that our country was headed for crisis and trauma, many of them brushed my words aside. They have the day off. God can choose a prophet without seeking approval from the masses. As I watched a country I cared about slowly dissolve, I couldn’t help but weep. Politicians have a lot of “prophets” who tell them what they want to hear. I’m sorry for my radio silence. Rather than a leader, he argued, “what we need now is a deliverer”.
