Fast rising Ghanaian rapper Yaw Tog has said that whenever Ghanaian celebrities visit Nigeria, they are treated as if they are not celebrities.
He made this revelation following his visit to the country for the first time as a Ghanaian celebrity.
on the 12th December 2021, the 8th edition of the African Muzik Magazine Award (AFRIMMA) was held in Nigeria and Yaw Tog attended.
Speaking in an interview the young rapper narrated the harassment he and his entourage received while in Nigeria for the awards.
He went on to say that Nigerians don’t treat Ghanaian celebrities as celebrities.
Yaw Tog said himself together with Gyakie and Kofi Jamar were treated unfairly while in Nigeria.
“When it comes to Ghanaian artists, Nigerians don’t treat you as one of their top artists instead they treat you like an ordinary person. You don’t expect to be treated like Davido or Burna Boy there”, he said on YFM.
