The Ashanti Regional Minister Simon Osei Mensah has urged Ghanaians to embrace the controversial E-Levy proposed by government since it will go a long way to turn the economy around.
According to him the E-Levy will be accompanied with good things than shortcomings as it will improve the living standard of Ghanaians.
Speaking on Akoma FM he mentioned that the E-Levy is a good thing but the NDC are opposing it because of fear that it will lead to they losing the 2024 election again.
“The NDC knows that when the e-levy is finally passed, we will be able to turn the economy around within a short possible time, a situation that will put the opposition in a very disadvantaged position which will make them lose the 2024 elections”.
Meanwhile Parliament is yet to approve the E-Levy and already some Ghanaians have opposed it stating that it won’t in a positive direction when implemented.
