The National Identification Authority has said that the Ghana Card registration process is free at all Regional and District offices and nobody needs to make any payment to get the card done.
The NIA Media Relations Officer Dora Badu Owusu Adoma speaking about the Ghana card said; “You don’t need to pay money to anyone at any of our district and regional offices because the registration process is free”.
She mentioned that it takes only 25-30 minutes to complete the registration process for the card noting that the current delay is as a result of the huge number that have showed up at registration centers.
She further mentioned that; “we also suffer some intermittent network challenges and that also causes a delay in the registration process.”
