Ghanaian musician turned political activist, Kwame Asare Obeng well known in the showbiz world as Kwame A Plus has been sued for GHS10m by a businessman for defamation.
Reports indicates that a Lebanese businessman identified as Hassan Zein is accusing Kwame A Plus of using his photo and making defamatory comments about him via his Facebook handle which he says has the potential to ruin his reputation.
The Lebanese man demanding GHS10 million among other things and also an order asking Kwame A Plus to retract his defamatory comments through the same medium he used in defaming him.
Also, Mr. Zein wants a long lasting injunction against Kwame A Plus from ever defaming him and an order for the payment of exemplary and punitive damages.
Meanwhile Kwame A Plus reacting to the law suit said; ”Hassan, I hear you have sued me. If it’s true come and serve me. The honorable court didn’t ask you to share it on social media. I’m telling you that you are a criminal. I’m exposing your crimes in our country. Instead of sueing me for defamation, you have rather run to the court to stop me from exposing your crimes”.
