Early today, 6th December 2021, some commercial drivers across the country embarked a sit down strike leaving many commuters stranded at various bus terminals.
This was a move to register their displeasure towards the spike in fuel prices that has been experienced in recent time.
Many Ghanaians have criticize the government for not giving the GPRTU a listening ear when it earlier warned Government to reduce the fuel prices by 5% else they will hit the street.
Sarkodie who has been tagged as bias when it comes to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) called on the Government to give Ghanaians the right environment to hustle or be productive.
”The people are going through it !!! We always do !!! All we ask for is the right environment to hustle/ be productive …”, he tweeted.
His tweet didn’t sit well with some social media folks who slammed him for being a hypocrite.
