The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo who has been adjudged African leader of the year 2021, as asked all minister and their deputies not to travel for a month except serious medical emergency.
The one month ban is as a result of Ministers and their Deputies being serving members of Parliament as well as issues that has to do with the appropriation of the 2022 budget statement and economic policy of government.
This temporary ban is to ensure that all members of the Majority in Parliament are available for their Parliamentary work.
The first time this kind of temporary ban occurred was in June 2018 and this time in 2021. This makes it a second time the President is placing a temporary ban on Ministers.
