A High Court in Accra has dismissed actress Akuapem Poloo’s appeal asking the court to set the 90-days jail term and replace it with a fine on Wednesday 1st December 2021.
This means the actress will now have to serve her 90-day prison term imposed on her months back by a Circuit court.
The appeal filed was to ask the court to set aside the 90 days sentence and replace it with a fine but the court dismissing the appeal indicated that the custodial sentence wasn’t harsh and excessive.
The court while siding with the Circuit Court’s decision noted that the custodial sentence was to serve as a deterrent to others and Akuapem Poloo herself.
After the Court made it judgement, Akuapem Poloo took to her Instagram handle to assure her son that she will soon be back but he should make sure to be a good boy till she returns.
This indicates that the actress won’t get the opportunity to celebrate Christmas with her son and family.
