A former leading member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Allotey Jacobs has accused the NDC of accepting the 2022 budget it claims to be in disagreement on hence deciding to absent themselves from Parliament was an attempt not to hurt party members.
He strongly believe that unlike the Minority making it seem publicly that they dislike the budget, they secretly believe in the budget and the various levies that comes with it.
Mr. Allotey also believes that the NDC MPs deliberately stayed out of Parliament so members of the party will not attack them.
”The NDC will intentionally leave parliament and later call it a boycott meanwhile they support the budget in secrecy”, he wrote on Facebook.
While the Minority rejected the 2022 budget on Friday 26th November 2021 the Majority in Parliament approved the budget on Tuesday 30th October.
