The #FixtheCountry Pressure group have on Friday 26th November 2021 embarked on another demonstration which ended in Parliament House for presentation of petition.
This comes after the group asked Parliament to reject the 2022 budget and Economic Policy of Government presented in Parliament on Wednesday 17th November 2021 by Ken Ofori-Atta.
The group says the 2022 budget is unacceptable and contain stuff that the ordinary Ghanaian wasn’t expecting.
“The E-levy is just one of the things that we want to talk about, we want Parliament to sit down and look at the budget and disapprove it because they (Government) need to go and come again.
Videos of the group standing at the entrance to Parliament has stormed social media.
The group which has close to 150 people insisted on entering Parliament in their numbers because according to them the earlier agreement with the police was that if they’re not up to 500 they will be allowed to enter.
But today the have been refused by the police.
