A former Managing Director of the National Investment Bank (NIB) Alfred Thompson has said that the anti-gay bill passage has been politicized and not seen with a national lense.
According to him there has been a popular impression created in the public eye that the ruling New Patriotic Party do not support the anti-gay bill because most of them are gays but the opposition National Democratic Congress is for the bill.
Speaking on the Key Point show aired on TV3 on Saturday, he said there is no way he will report his child that he is gay because most of them is all about psychological issues which the child can be guarded to two a line that society want.
“ I believe it is being politicized now , they are trying to run it as a populist type of thing that it is NPP people who are in for Gay right and like NDC people are anti-gay type of thing. It is not helping the country when you are bringing out things you look at it intis entirety. The bill in its entirety is problematic,” he said while speaking on the bill being politicized.
The bill which was laid before Parliament House on 2nd August titled ‘The Promotion of Proper Human S3xu@l Rights and Ghanaian Family Values’, has sparked massive debate amongst Ghanaians till now.
