Controversial dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah well known as Shatta Wale has been remanded into police custody for one week by a circuit court in Accra on Thursday, 21st October 2021.
He was remanded into custody after the Melissa hit maker pleaded guilty to the charge of publication of false news that caused fear and panic in the country.
Shatta Wale’s team, Kojo Owusu Koranteng Shatta’s Personal Assistant, Eric Venator, a graphic designer and Iddrisu Yusif, a beautician were charged with abetment of criminal publication of false news.
Shatta was remanded into custody by his lordship Mr. Emmanuel Marvin Essandoh.
Recall that dancehall artiste handed himself over to the police after he staged being shot noting that he did that because of a prophecy made by one Jesus Ahuofe.
