Queen mother for Assin Effukwa Traditional Area Nana, Nana Afranse Iv who is acting as the Paramount Chief for the area has asked President of Ghana Nana Addo to do his best to make sure that the anti-gay bill which is currently in Parliament gets passed.
On Monday 18th October while addressing a gathering at the palace Nana Afranse IV stated that the activities of LGBTQ+ is not something any traditional ruler in Ghana entertains hence the need to criminalize it.
She mentioned that the customs of Ghana doesn’t teach LGBTQ activities.
Nana Afranse IV noted that God created man for a woman and a woman for a man and not the opposite.
“Just speak on it. We are all looking up to you to speak on the matter and we don’t want your name to be mentioned as approving such activities,” Nana Afranse IV told Nana Addo.
The President done assured the chief that he will see to it that the right thing is done.
