Suame Police have arrested a twenty-two-year-old man who allegedly stabbed his friend to death at Suame Magazine industrial area in the Ashanti region of Ghana.
The victim according to Suame District Police Commander Emmanuel Asiamah was arrested while on his way to his hometown-Akomadan.
The police disclosed that upon intelligence gathered they were able to arrest the 22-year-old man.
The victim identified as Ebenezer Asare aged 23 got stabbed by his colleague after a scuffle ensued between them and was rushed to the hospital but couldn’t make it.
“after the short scufflel, the suspect went home and returned with a sharp object and stabbed the victim twice at the neck. He bled profusely whilst we rushed him to the hospital but few minutes after we arrived he gave up the ghost”, eye witness noted.
Speaking on Akoma FM’s political show titled ‘GhanAkoma, Superintendent Emmanuel Asiamah said artisans thronged the police station demanding the suspect’s release so they can lynch him.
Some police officers were there to stop the artisans from causing any havoc.
