I’m Not A Fool To Build A Factory Without Providing Raw Materials-John Mahama To Critics

Former President of Ghana, John Mahama has said reacted to infamous comments that he built the Komenda Sugar Factory without making available raw materials.

Speaking on this he said that there is no way he will build a factory without providing raw materials for it.

He noted that as part of his economics background in school he knows that there is no way a factory can be established without raw materials.

Mr. Mahama mentioned that the Indian government at the time asked that the factory be built after which the country will apply for funds from them to support the production of raw materials.

However when the Nana Addo led administration came to power, it noted that the sugar factory wasn’t its priority hence abandoning the 26 million dollars the Indian government asked them to apply for.

Speaking on Cape FM on Friday 15th October he said; ”They didn’t apply and so they left it and the factory is just there. Do you think I am a fool to build a factory and I won’t make provision for raw materials? I am not that foolish, I read economics and so I knew what the vision was.”
