The National Communication officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Sammy Gyamfi has said that many Ghanaians including non supporters of the NDC will be disappointed if John Dramani doesn’t contest 2024 election.
He stated that he will also be unhappy if John Mahama doesn’t run for the Presidential race in 2024 to save the country from the hands of the NPP.
”Of course I will want him to stand and I will be very unhappy if he decides not to stand. I know that he knows that the vast majority of Ghanaians not just NDC supporters will be very disappointed if the former President fails to contest to salvage Ghana from the claws from the clueless NPP government.
”Knowing him as a listening leader, I know he will make the right decision by standing when that time is ripe and he deems it fit to make it that announcement I believe he himself or his spokespersons will do so for him”.
He made this comment while speaking in an interview on Metro TV.
Meanwhile rumors has it that former governor of Bank of Ghana, Kwabena Duffour will give John Mahama a competition at the party level.
