President Nana Akufo-Addo has sworn in COP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare as the Inspector General of Police in Ghana.
The swearing in took place at the seat of government, Jubilee House on Friday 8th October 2021.
At the swearing in ceremony the President said that Dr. Dampare has demonstrated that he will be an effective leader.
“He has demonstrated he will be an effective leader of the Police,” the President stated.
“We have a worthy successor to Mr Oppong-Buanoh (the immediate past IGP) and the others who have gone before him.”
“Government will do its best to assist you,” Nana Addo added.
Not forgetting the immediate past IGP, the President praised him for his hard work during his term of office.
