Popular Ghanaian Dancehall artist, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, prevalently known as Shatta Wale, is in the news once again and this time around it was all about the serious clash he had with he CEO of Kofas Media, Kofi Asamoah over an assertion he made.
Shatta Wale in an online media post said, ‘continue shooting recordings like you are contending with Jay Z’.
This post set off popular video director David Nicol-Sey to come at him saying the dancehall artist is an empty barrel who keeps dragging the Ghana Ghanaian music industry backwards.
In a recent interview on Okay FM, it was quite insane, as he had some serious banter with the popular film maker Kofi Asamoah on the grounds that he needed Shatta to comprehend the fact that you don’t need to shoot cheap videos to advance one’s culture.
