The family of Kaaka, the social media activist well known as Kaaka who got murdered by some suspects while on his way to his house at around 1:30 am on 28th June have expressed displeasure towards the way the police is handling the case.
The family says the head of Parliamentary committee over seeing the work of the police was deployed some time back to jump from media to media to spread false information about Baba Iddi stating that he was the one who killed Kaaka, his brother.
They continued that the manner in which the police is handling the case creates the impression that Kaaka’s brother killed him even when it hasn’t conducted any investigation.
“A couple of weeks ago, our brother and son Baba Iddi, informed us that the Police came to pick him up from his prison cell without an interpreter, and held him with force and made him thumbprint a document he doesn’t know the content of or understand. We are disgusted by the reported actions of the Police. And we are now convinced that the Police are now active criminal agents working to incriminate our brother in a crime they know, and we know, he did not commit”, the family stated.
The family also mentioned that they have been silent about the matter and have refused to go public because they thought justice will be served swiftly but that never happened.
