The General Secretary of the largest opposition party in Ghana, National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia has said that the just ended 2020 elections is one of the worse elections the country has ever experienced.
Speaking at a press conference in Accra on Tuesday 24th August 2021, Mr. Asiedu noted that its not new that all is not well with Ghana’s elections.
According to him Ghanaian thought they were making progress because each election served as a improvement on the previous one until 2020 election came in being the worse of the elections in Ghana.
“It all begun as far back as in 1992, some have got solutions along the way from each passing elections since 1992.
“We thought we were making progress because each election represented an improvement on the previous elections until 2020 came and you will bear with me that 2020 elections has been one of the worse elections we have had in the 4th republic”, he stated.
He noted that the NDC accepted the court processes not because they thought justice was served but because they wanted to save the democracy of Ghana and improve what Ghana has.
