On the 29th of June 2021, Obama DMW died in a Lekki Hospital after he complained of Difficulty in Breathing, drove himself to the hospital, got admitted for treatment but unfortunately passed away a few hours later.
His death was a big blow to the industry as hundreds of celebrities across the globe took to their social media page to mourn his sad demise. His son Abdul Malik took to his Instagram page to remember his father and also thanked Tiwa Savage and Davido for helping him out during his difficult times.
