Popular Political Scientist Professor Ransford Gyampo has praised Ghanaian youth for embarking on a peaceful, orderly #fixthecountry demonstration on 4th August 2021.
Praising the youth for comporting themselves during the demonstration he urged Ghanaians to reconsider the popular notion that youth are violent.
”the youth have maturity for embarking on such a peaceful and uneventful demonstration. I commend them and I believe society must begin to rethink the derogatory perceptions about them. This single act of comportment, by an aged cohort usually described as rowdy, cannot be unnoticed. We have shown that we can be civil. This is highly commendable.
Prof. Gyampo further urged the youth to be civil in their utterances and make full use of any platform of dialogue provided by government to address their concerns.
” I will urge them to be civil in their utterances and make full use of every platform of dialogue, provided by government for the purposes of addressing the legitimate concerns they have expressed.”
