On Sunday, 25th August 2021, a former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Women’s Organizer for the Bolgatanga Central constituency died in a road accident.
The deceased Esther Lariba Atia was reported to have died on the spot after her car veered off the road and somersaulted severally into a ditch.
Eye witness says a motor rider crossed madam Esther who was also the Vice Principal in Charge of Administration at the Bolgatanga Technical Institute while she was driving around the office of the Volta River Authority(VRA) off the Bolgatanga-Navorongo Highway.
She tried to prevent her car from crashing the rider hence somersaulting several times with the car landing on its roof.
The rider was said to have sustained some injuries while Madam Atia died on the spot. Her mortal remains has since been deposited at the morgue.
