Yesterday social media users we thrown into two separate groups after Members of Parliament lead by Hon Sam George passed the anti LGBTQI Bill which state that anyone involved in such acts or caught behaving in such manner will be jailed for not less than 5 years.
This sparked a lot of controversies on social media as various celebrities took their social media pages to speak against the bill. Day one LGBTQI Activist Sister Derby even went as far as dirtying herself on social media with the Member of Parliment for Ningo – Prampram
The speaker of Parliament who showed full support for the bill even made a comment saying the LGBTQI community is worse than the COVID 19 Pandamic.
In his words, he said: “This world was created by God as a society, it was created for us to enjoy and also commanded us to reproduce and fill the earth, Now we have seen those who actually believe in God and where Religion actually originated from. This LGBTQI pandemic must be fought by all of US, I can boldly tell you it is worse than COVID 19, Now I am very happy our beloved country Ghana is in together on this. The faint heart will soon be struggling to come back to join the fight. His Excellency President Nana Addo Danquah has spoken, out traditional and have also spoken, Ghanaians have spoken.”
This has sparked a lot of controversies on social media with Ghanaian song writer and film producer Panji Anoff calling the speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin out and revealed that he has not right to talk about the moral of the LGBTQI community when he himself isnt clean.
