The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has asked Muslims to say a prayer for Ghana to combat the novel coronavirus spread.
In a statement signed by the General Secretary of the party, it appealed to the Muslims on Eid-ul-adha day to say a prayer for Ghana and the world as far as coronavirus is concerned.
The party also stated that the Eid-ul-adha celebration isn’t just for memory making but also a day to reminisce on their sacrifices to Allah.
The NPP while wishing all Muslims well also reminded Muslims to seize the opportunity to renew their covenant with Almighty Allah.
Meanwhile a 16-year-old boy has been shot dead at Asokore Manpong in the Eastern Region of Ghana after some men fired warning shots as part of Eid-ul-adha celebration.
