On Monday 19th July 2021, about 365 security personnel were deployed to five communities in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
The security personnel deployed included 115 police men and women and 250 immigration personnel. These security personnel were deployed to engage community members on security issues.
The secruty personnel were deployed to communities such as Assesewa, Akateng, Somanya, Aprede, and Adukrom.
The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) organized the ”Anti Violence Advocacy Outreach’ programme which aimed at educating residents on crime issues.
Chief Superintendent of police who doubles as the Commanding officer of the CTD told pressmen that the programme was a part of training for security agency’s personnel who ere trained to combat terrorism.
He stressed that to combat crime cases in the country adding that citizens must help security agencies in clamping down criminals.
