A gory accident which happened on the Mankesim-Cape Coast highway has claimed the lives of two, a driver and his mate on Tuesday evening at around 10:30PM.
In a head-on-collision between a VIP bus with registration number GT 5255-17 and a petrol tanker at Saltpond in the Mfantseman Municipality in the Central Region.
According to reports the VIP bus tried overtaking another vehicle while on his way from Samreboi in the Western Region but unfortunately collided with the Petrol tanker which was heading towards Accra after offloading some fuel.
The driver of the VIP was said to have died on the sport after the accident and the conductor died when he was sent to the Hospital.
Francis Ekow Dotse, the assembly member for the Nkubeam Electoral Area, Saltpond said the the Ambulance Service had to cut parts of the car before removing the driver and his conductor from the car.
