A VIP US-based plastic Ghanaian specialist, Dr Michael Obeng, says he is prepared to help in the looming medical procedure to isolate the conjoined twins at Ridge Hospital in Accra.
The mainstream specialist revealed to Starr FM on Thursday July 08, 2021 that however he has never taken care of conjoined circumstances, he will join the group to set out on the medical procedure to isolate the infants.
In the interim, the public authority has chosen to take up the full expense for the medical procedure to isolate the two-month-old conjoined twins. The conjoined twins are at present on admission at the Ridge Hospital.
The EIB Network last Thursday started a public mission to raise some cash to help the medical procedure. The mission, which was driven by the General Manager and mother of 1, Nana Aba Anamoah, had effectively raised over GHC500,000.
Specialists at the Ridge Hospital say it’s anything but an incredible GHC3,000,000 to isolate the twins who are joined in the head to empower them to live freely. They clarify that this is the first time doctors in Ghana will direct a particularly specific activity.
This is what Dr. Michael Obeng had to say;
”I have already spoken to some ofnthe doctors on that case. From here I’m going to the Ridge hospital. If they invite me I would join.
I’m stuck in Ghana because I couldn’t go to Gabon to do what we had to do because of the new COVID variant which is ravaging that part of Africa. So I’m here in Ghana and I might as well be put to good use.”
