The National Democratic Congress (NDC) party has on Tuesday presented its petition to the presidency as the party members and sympathizers marched and headed to Parliament House.
The march which was dubbed ‘March for Justice’ saw scores of party members march in party colours as they make their grievances known on placards.
The petitions were presented by both NDC’s General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia and Women’s Organizer Hannah Bissiw.
The Deputy Chief of Staff, Emmanuel Adumua-Bossman received the petition at the Jubilee House.
Prior to the protest, the General Secretary of the NDC, John Asiedu Nketia in a statement, noted that the Demonstration is meant to raise awareness about the insecurity and lawlessness in the country in a bid to wake Nana Akufo-Addo from his slumber to act accordingly.
The statement by the party’s General Security further said the demonstration will remind the president of his obligations in the area of public safety and security as well as draw his attention to the public’s loss of confidence in those who occupy top positions in some security agencies.
