Previous HIV/AIDs Ambassador Joyce Dzidzor has taken to social media to lament over about the stigmatization after she freely tried positive for HIV.
Joyce Dzidzor and her family openly tried for HIV status and she was the solitary individual who tried positive with every one of her kids and testiving negative.
After the occurrence, Joyce Dzidzor has been undermine by numerous individuals for purposefully tainting them with the infection for which she knew her status. This made her to approach Ghanaians who have the infection to spread the word about their status fin order to reduce the spread and the stigmatization.
As per her, more than 400,000 Ghanaians are on the Anti-Retroviral Drugs which are been given to HIV infected individuals to decrease the viral burden in their bodies. These individuals are relatives, companions and family members of whom we as a whole live with in our communities since their status are not known.
Joyce Dzidzor Mensah has accordingly approached Ghanaians to stop the slander and acknowledges individuals living with the infection.
This is what she took to her official Facebook page to say;
”There are almost four hundred thousand (400,000) Ghanaians placed on HIV medication in Ghana
There are also thousands of people walking around without knowing their HIV status…..
Among these people are your friends, relatives, girlfriends, and boyfriends you sleep with, eat with, club with and play with.For the fear of rejection, most people with HIV continue to hide thier status in oder to continue with thier beautiful relationships with friends and families…..
But let’s just say in Ghana, I’m the only one living with HIV….
