Latest report gathered by Pinaxnews.com indicates Six Journalists in the Eastern Region got away from from an accident after a mishap on the Akyem Oda – Akyem Asene road.
The report has it that the accident happened on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 on Adim River when the journalists were getting back from a conference at Akyem Akokoaso in the Akyemansa District of the Eastern Region in the midst of a heavy downpour.
The Journalists who were onboard a private Toyota Matrix have since been identified as Neil Nii Kenaku, Eastern Regional Correspondent for Citi FM/Citi TV, Michael Akrofi, Eastern Regional Correspondent for Peace FM, Jessie Amankwah of UTV, Kojo Ansah, Eastern Regional Correspondent for EIB Network, Kwasi Azor, Eastern Regional Correspondent for Adom FM/Adom TV and Emmanuel Pacome of Daily Graphic.
As indicated by sources, the driver failed to keep a grip on the controlling wheel in the wake of swerving a pothole. The vehicle then veered off the street, viciously went to the contrary side as it hauled towards the stream yet was hindered by a tremendous pipeline and hung on the edge of the scaffold.
The shocked Journalists immediately hurried out of the vehicle to safety as some resident marched to the scene to their rescue.
Albeit none of the Journalists was harmed, the story would have been extraordinary if the vehicle had dove into the stream.
