Ghanaian Security Analyst, Paul Boateng says most African leaders prefer to waste money on election campaigns that will put them in power rather than procure logistics that will help combat insecurity in the country.
According to him most African politicians are more concerned about winning elections.
When asked why in Africa more logistics that can be used to fight crime are usually absent, he quizzed Captain Smart, host of the show whether the logistics that are usually given to the security force relevant to fighting crime in the country.
Obviously some of the logistics are often not of any importance in fighting crime.
Speaking in a phone in session on ‘Maakye’ show, he noted that the availability of guns in the system is one of the reason for the spate in crime in recent times.
