Head of Research and Planning of the Ghana Police Service, Nathan Kofi Boakye has said that the leadership of the police service have put measures in place to curb the rising spate of crime in the country.
He went on to urge police officers to be alert in gathering useful information which can lead to the arrest of criminals.
According to Kofi Boakye the perpetrators of the Bullion Van robbery can run and run but can never hide forever.
“I want to emphasize to the nation that very, very, very soon all those involved in this bullion robbery and especially those who committed it, they will be arrested very soon. They can run and run and run but they cannot hide,” he stated bluntly.
He made this comment while speaking at the passing out ceremony of some new recruits on Friday, 18th June 2021 in Kumasi.
In other news a Spot Operator have been shot dead in Apirede-Akuapem over misunderstanding on GHS5. The now deceased and the suspect were set to engaged in an argument following a 5 cedis the deceased owed the suspects.
In the process of the misunderstanding, the suspect rushed to his room and brought a gun which he allegedly shot the now deceased twice in the rib and chest.
