Reports reaching us indicates that due to Nigeria’s ban on twitter some businesses in the country are doing so poor.
According to a report by Reuters news a Lagos-based entrepreneur Ogechi Egemonu was selling more than 500,000 naira ($1,219) worth of watches, shoes and handbags on Twitter per week.
The report indicate that resulting from Nigeria’s ban on twitter Egemonu doesn’t know how she will cope.
“Social media is where I eat,” she told Reuters. “I depend on social media for my livelihood.”
Meanwhile the ban on twitter’s operation comes few days after twitter took off a tweet from President Buhari’s account and also suspended his account for sometime.
This did not sit well with the Federal Government who have criticized the social media giant for deleting the tweet by the President.
