The former Deputy General Secretary of the of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said that he has no doubt the 2024 general election will be very hot.
He says it will be very hot because it is going to be a defining moment for Ghana’s democracy.
According to him after President Nana Addo’s term of office in 2024, both NPP and NDC would have served the country for 16 years each since 1992. He says 2024 will be a point where each party would want to claim the bragging right.
He noted that the 2024 election will be more of a ‘political pride/ego’ where both NDC and NPP would love to brag about who broke the 16-year governance level before the other.
”2024 obviously is going to be a defining moment for our democracy that we have began. I have no doubt that the 2024 election is going to be hot because it’s all about…..for want of a better phrase it will be about political pride/ego. Who broke the 16-year cycle before the other, so its really going to be hot”, he stated.
