Latest information gathered by our outfit indicates that a part of Tanzanians on Twitter have dispatched an online appeal to have artist, Diamond Platnumz excluded from the 2021 BET Awards.

The sensational Tanzanian music star was nominated in the best international act category which sees other big African names in that category.
The petitioners blamed Diamond for effectively and openly supporting perished Magufuli’s regime, however staying quiet when Tanzanian musicians were detained and abducted in 2017-2018 over video clips considered revolting by the authorities. As at now, more than 17,000 individuals have signed the petition to exclude him from the award scheme.
