An American tourist has died sadly in the Philippines after he was accidentally murdered by local fishermen according to the Manila Catholic Press.
28-year-old Andrew Stevens met his untimely death after he was accidentally stabbed by local fishermen who mistook him for a large fish.
He was reportedly clad in a colourful mermaid tail which made the local fishermen to mistake him for some kind of a large fish.
“The victim died after receiving 127 stab wounds from the harpoons and was found with a large hook stuck in his left cheek,” a Manila police spokesman told local reporters.
“We find very weird that fish has arms and hair and talk English but it all happening so fast,” one fisherman admitted to reporters.
Report say the fishermen found the horror that had happened after his body was dragged upon the boat.
“We have a long, long day of fishing with no fish that day. So we very happy when we catch him, maybe we too excited” one fisherman stated.
