Recall that we reported that the former political adviser of former President Goodluck Jonathan, Ahmed Gulak was murdered by armed bandits on Saturday, 29th May 2021 on his way to Mbakwe airpot.
Well, current governor of Rivers State, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has finally reacted to claims by colleague governor Uzodinma that the adviser’s death was a political assassination.
Speaking on Channels TV, Wike stated that its too early for Uzodinma to assume that Ahmed’s death was a political assassination. He stressed that the governor must allow security agents to really go into the matter and bring out their findings.
According to him this is not the time to politicize everything and rather leave the security agents to do their proper investigation
But the point is very clear, we should not try to politicize everything. I think that the governor of Imo state, my brother Uzodinma should allow the security agencies to do their proper investigation because its too early for him to say its a political assassination. Haven done that it means that you already known and when the problem is not legal you already know those who committed that crime and that will not be fair”, he told Channel TV.
He further commiserated with the family of the deceased stressing that no lose of live is acceptable no matter the form it took because anyone who died in a wrongful manner are all human beings and nobody should be happy about it.
