Emmiwuks Davido’s mega-fan decided to meet him from Benue State on a bike to give him a gift to congratulate the “living legend” on his most recent “masterpiece” album Timeless. According to Google Maps, the 800 km (500 miles) trip from Benue to Lagos takes more than 13 hours by car but only six days by foot.
In response to a man who claimed to be riding a bike from Benue State all the way to Lagos to meet Davido, Davido tweeted that he wouldn’t be at home. The Afrobeats superstar, wrote, “Turn around I’m not home.” The cyclist insisted to continue the journey until he sees Davido to present his gift to him, he won’t surrender.
However, singer Davido was compelled to persuade the rider to transmit his account number, go home, and wait for his return even though it is obvious that he is not yet ready to stop. The Young Man did not send his account details to Davido, he finally disclosed why he rejected the money from the superstar.
In his recent interview, the Young Man said money is not the reason he embarked on this adventure but he wants to meet the afrobeats Star, he just wants Davido to bless him, his presence.
