Outspoken Ghanaian actress Lydia Forson has said that she will be the first to admit she was wrong if the E-levy truly transforms Ghana.
She made this comment following the passing of the controversial E-levy on 29th March 2022.
Reacting to the passing of the E-levy Lydia Forson noted in a tweet that she won’t hesitate to admit that she was mistaken if indeed the E-levy has a positive impact on the country.
If this #elevy really does transform this country the way they say it will; I will be first in line to admit I was wrong, until then…”. she tweeted.
She noted that she would have loved and appreciated the e-levy was framed like the Agaciro Development Fund of Rwanda which she actually loved.
“If the #elevy was framed like the Agaciro Development Fund; a fund citizens contribute to in Rwanda, to help make the country less dependent on foreign aid (which I learnt about on one of my trips there) I would have appreciated it more because I actually loved the idea”, she added.
