The Ghana Industrial Holding Corporation (GIHOC) distilleries Managing Director, Maxwell Kofi Jumah has advised Ghanaians who can’t afford alcoholic beverages due to spike in prices to drink water instead.
According to reports Kofi Jumah made this comment in an interview with Kumasi based Nhyira FM.
Nhyira FM was reported to have made a post on it’s Facebook page where the GIHOC boss said that his outfit will continue to increase the prices of alcoholic beverages.
Advising Ghanaians who can’t afford alcoholic beverages due to increased prices he asked them to resort to drinking of water instead.
“We have increased the price of alcohol and we will continue to increase it. If you are not ready to buy then stop drinking alcohol and drink water,” he stated.
