The owner of Chelsea football club, Abramovich has been sanctioned by the government of the United Kingdom over Russia’s continuing invasion of neighbouring Ukraine, freezing the sale of the Premier league club.
Apparently Abramovich had wanted to sell the football club which he bought in 2003 in a bid to use proceeds from it’s sale to help assist Ukraine financially.
However the Uk government has frozen his assets over the Russia-Ukraine war.
Abramovich who has been described by the UK government as “pro-kremlin oligarch”, has got his assets frozen plus a travel ban hit.
