Recall that we reported that one Oliver Barker-Vormawor got arrested by Tema police following a post he made on Facebook.
Apparently he stated emphatically that he will cause a coup in Ghana should the controversial E-left get passed in parliament.
A statement by the police on Friday night after Oliver Barker-Vormawor was picked indicated that his Facebook post could potentially threaten Ghana’s security.
Appearing in court on Monday 14th February Mr Wormawor was charged with treason felony.
In court last Monday, DSP Sylvester Asare told the court that the Ashaiman police were informed that Mr. Wormwood was inciting some people to overthrow the ruling government.
Lawyers of the accused prayed the court granted him but it was declined owing from the nature and severity of the case.
