Famous Ghanaians actress Joselyn Dumas has added her voive to conversation about the controversial E-Levy which was proposed by the ruling government last year.

Just after the Finance Minister read the 2022 budget in Parliament on 17th November 2021 and made mention of government’s proposed E-Levy there has been massive debate about the E-Levy with some Ghanaians suggesting that the 1.75% government is proposing is too high and must be reduced while others have also opined that it be canceled.

The actress joining her voice to the conversation asked where all the tax monies on utility bills, good and services, company operation all go.

The actress believes even if the government of the day wants to tax Ghanaians obviously the timing is wrong because many Ghanaians are going through hardship.

“We’re being taxed for so many things utilities bills, goods & services, company operations (GRA) etc… So where does the money go ? Yet we owe. Then #ELevy ? … in such obviously hard times ?, she wrote in a post.

In a subsequent post the actress bemoaned how the country is blessed with many resources yet it’s people are suffering.
