2022 Budget Approval Unconstitutional-Ablakwa Reacts To Budget Approval

Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has made his first reaction after the 2022 budget was approved by the Majority in Parliament on Tuesday 30th November 2021.

Reacting to the approval of the budget he has described the approval of it without the minority in Parliament as unconstitutional.

In a tweet he wrote; “did their unconstitutional conduct purported to approve the rejected budget or they approved a new budget with the said concessions.”

Meanwhile, the Majority in Parliament of Ghana have on Tuesday 30th November 2021 approved the controversial 2022 budget statement following the boycotting of Parliamentary proceedings by the Minority in Parliament after they failed to agree with the Majority on the budget.

The Majority in Parliament indicated that the rejection of the budget on Friday 26th November was unconstitutional but the Minority insisted that due process is followed to reject the budget.

After the approval of the budget it has received massive criticisms from the general public as they wanted the budget to be rejected.
