Famous media personality Bridget Otoo has opined that until a woman is tagged as @shawo she cannot boldly say she is a woman.
This message from the broadcaster comes after some twitter folks tagged her with the word.
According to the Metro TV anchor, any woman who is very vocal yet hasn’t been tagged as @shawo is probably doing something wrong because everything about women gets s3xu*lized.
She noted that people who name -shame such women do it to feel emasculated because they wonder why a woman should defend herself.
“For a woman, everything has to be sexu*lised. I always say this, if you are a woman and you have never been called ‘@shawo,’ then you are not a woman. If a woman, who is vocal and has not been called @shawo, you are probably doing something wrong,” she said.
“It’s the first go for them. I think they just feel emasculated. They feel like how dare her defend herself.”
Bridget Otoo made this comment while speaking on Metro TV’s Good evening Ghana show where she was defending why herself, Nana Aba Anamoah and Serwaa Amihere humiliated Bongo Ideas on the Next Star show’s audition.
Justifying actions taken against the journalist by herself and her two colleagues she said the journalist had finished his audition before they confronted him.
