NPP Will Lose 2024 Election For Treating Rev. Owusu Bempah Badly-Says Maurice Ampaw

A private legal practioner, lawyer Maurice Ampaw has said that the probability of the New Patriotic Party losing the 2024 election is high.

According to him the party will lose the 2024 election following the way and manner the police is handling Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah’s case.

He stressed that the party will lose a lot of votes from people who voted for the party because of the founder and leader Glorious Word Chapel International.

He couldn’t fathom on why both the President Nana Akufo-Addo and Attorney General Godfred Dame who have the power to intervene have refused to do so.

“Akufo-Addo has power of pardon, (Godfred) Dame has the power of nolle prosequoi but you refuse to intervene because in the way police are treating the issue, you are likely to lose a lot of Owusu Bempah supporters”.

“How is it that Agradaa and Owusu Bempah have an issue and the latter is being heckled but the former is freely walking about. When elections come, you think Owusu Bempah supporters across the world and back home will support your cause?”, he said in an interview on Okay FM.

Still speaking on the unfair treatment meted on Owusu Bempah, Maurice Ampaw noted that should the NDC win the 2024 elections it will remain in power for 24 years and the NPP party will be afflicted by serious hunger.

“If NDC comes to power, they will govern for 24 years, the hunger that will afflict you (NPP members) in this country will be no joke,” he stated.
